CONTENT DEVELOPMENT:
As my design work and storyboard art lead me closer and closer to the study of film structure and development, I've been working on original material for production. With a traditional theatrical background, I like to craft stories grounded in traditional dramatic background, but heavily influenced by visuals and playing with surreal, symbolic, and dark humorous elements.
Original Screenplay: The Winter

Synopsis:
Niko is a romantic, young Greek writer living in London. When his finances go astray, he hides out in the neglected family house in the Greek mountain town of Siatista. Surrounded by the ghosts of the past, Niko must uncover the mystery of his father's death and retain his grasp on reality.
THE WINTER is a pet project, home-grown with partner/director Konstantinos Koutsoliotas.
For this low low budget indy feature film, I'm acting as co-writer, production designer, and the producer.
It's been an incredibly challenging adventure bringing this to life: taking the character and story to the screen has been engaging on a whole new level.
The film won Best Supporting Actress at Bridges Int'l Film Festival, and The Nostimon Imar Director's Award at the Cypress Int'l Film Festival. It was nominated both for Best Scenography by the Greek Film Academy, and for the Melies D'Argent Award at Imagine Film Festival. The Winter premiered at the Thessaloniki Int'l Film Festival, and screened at Fantaspoa Film Festival, Imagine Film Festival, NYC Greek Film Festival, SF Greek Film Festival, and Greek Film Festival Australia.
